

Clear Intentions
When I saw this post, I applauded. But then I thought of my own life. I had to ask myself, Am I living out of habit or with clear intention? I would like to think I am. Are you living each day with the same routine because it is what you have always done, it is what you were taught from your parents? Or are you clear on the how and why of every step you take? I would suggest you examine your life and ask the “Why?” and the “How?” for each part of your routinely daily living.


Purify
Our souls are contaminated with so many things: toxic words, ill intentions, destructive thoughts. We must purify our soul from all that is keeping us from loving others rightly. I find myself lashing out and saying things that would be generally caught by wisdom when I’m overworked, overwhelmed, and overly consumed with the ways of the world. Now this is no excuse for bad behavior; it offers reason for it with the hope of caution. Be in a place of protection over your soul.


When Things Don’t Change
People talk about change. Spiritual and Political Leaders talk preach about things needing to change. However, Change doesn’t just happen because a person desires it. Change comes about when two things happen: 1) The vision you see is so clear that you can’t see things being any other way and/or you get so sick of being the way you are you can’t breathe. Who’s to say you can’t do that which you feel passionately in your heart to do? Who’s to say you weren’t meant to live a life greater than you’ve ever thought was possible? It’s not about being better than anyone else or glorifying self because you have achieved and arrived to some invisible status symbol. It’s about living out your God-gifted purpose.
